THE NEXT (AUTUMN) SPARES DAY IS ON SUNDAY 17 OCTOBER 2010
Twice each year, usually in March and October, the Jaguar Car Club organises these tremendously popular and useful events. Originating in 1981 as an XK Register event under the aegis of the JDC, it transferred to the JCC when the organising team moved across to the new club. Since that time only two individuals have been responsible for the organisation of these events, which have grown into what are probably the largest events of this type anywhere in the world.
Each event features over 200 stalls, with an additional attraction of as many as 30 cars for sale. These latter items range from restoration projects to cars in a drive away condition. The stall holders range from established major Jaguar parts suppliers, restoration specialists, replica manufacturers and individual enthusiasts simply clearing out their garages. The whole of the event is under cover, which adds immensely to the enjoyment and practicality of the proceedings.
The visitors come to source parts for both regular maintenance and routine servicing, but probably most of all, for ongoing restoration projects. The range of parts covered includes all models from the 1930s to the present day, and all the Jaguar derivatives. That International Jaguar Spares Days are considered the events for this purpose can be easily seen from the wide variety of nationalities to be found amongst the thousands of enthusiasts who visit each event.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust are regular exhibitors at our Spares days.
